My New *WHITE* Sony VAIO

Similar to my previous post of  “My New *PINK* Sony VAIO“, I am making a new review of my new computer.
My rant is, if you can see that my PINK Vaio was purchased in January 2009, the lifespan of that thing was a mere 1.5 years.  Barely enough time to fully depreciate and after the 1 year warranty, the computer decided to fail on me.  It’s been known that the CS series has an “overheating” problem, hence my coined term of self-destruction of Sony VAIOs.  Basically, my old machine liked …

AHHH!! Where Did I Go?

I’m REALLY REALLY sorry but here’s where I’ve gone (this is going to be a rant for sure…):

Key thing to note is that I didn’t properly back up my blog since Feb 2010 (and even if I did, the database file is unrecoverable).  AHHHHH – that means I’ve lost all my posts for over 1 year! *pulling out my hair*

What’s with the hype and Twitter?  I know – a blogger who is not on twitter?  How can that be?  Well, it was.  Except this weekend, my curiosity got the better of me and quite honestly, I think I needed to experience it myself to really understand the craze.
The statistical breakdown:

35 recognized addresses imported from Gmail
8 selected twitters to follow at setup (sorry about the other 27 but I’m using a radius of influence here)
1 photo uploaded
0 success in finding some people I wanted to follow (does anyone know Matt Mullenweg’s twitter …

How Strict Should Border Patrols Be?

When I read the news today “Battle stations as Mexican brings swine flu to HK” – I was actually slightly peeved that it’s actually happened – here.  Peeved as a first response because the border patrols failed, but yet rational enough to think whether this could have been prevented.  I know HK is already obtaining travel history for travelers arriving to HK – but should they be quaratining people (for a period of say 24 hours) who have declared that they have recently traveled to Mexico?  This probably takes:

Honesty and brutal …
