I love digital post-its. While searching for the perfect digital post-its, I came across the one, the original - 3M post-its. They are great because there are a host of functions available for the simple post-it.
Change colours
Change fonts
Use numbers and bullets
Use cork boards for different categories
Hot keys for quick display
While there are a host of digital post-its available (even ones for free), none of them quite compare to 3M’s Post-It Digital Notes. I really needed a desktop solution at work because I manage at least 10 different projects and at …

Update on May 9, 2009: SUCCESS! The migration turned out to be a breeze. The configuration turned out to be far easier than I had expected and the only hiccup that I really had was a mismatch of files across the two servers (thus a broken link for one day). This is the beauty of wordpress. And quite truthfully, that is how all migration projects should function. Plug and play. Why does software have to be that difficult? OK OK, I will save my rant of difficult software for another …

What’s with the hype and Twitter? I know - a blogger who is not on twitter? How can that be? Well, it was. Except this weekend, my curiosity got the better of me and quite honestly, I think I needed to experience it myself to really understand the craze.
The statistical breakdown:
35 recognized addresses imported from Gmail
8 selected twitters to follow at setup (sorry about the other 27 but I’m using a radius of influence here)
1 photo uploaded
0 success in finding some people I wanted to follow (does anyone know Matt Mullenweg’s twitter …

After my luncheon at AMCHAM with Matt Mullenweg, he made a mention of using Google Reader and because I only use email subscriptions for reads (which can sometimes get annoying because they are in you inbox whether you want it to be or not - unless you set up rules), I decided to go and try Google Reader. (Sorry about the resolution of the photo, didn’t realize it was so retarded looking since I just uploaded it directly to my site).
After about 2 weeks of using this. I LOVE IT! …

HELP!! I’m looking for a fashionable IPhone wallet or purse. Most of the products available today are literally, IPhone wallets that are UGLY and FUNCTIONAL. Well, why can’t stuff for geeks be fashionable too? Hmm, makes you think maybe there is a market for this. Anyways, if anyone comes across one, can you please pass it along? My only option right now is to check out the Coach Wristlets - which I have yet to do, but I’m having high hopes that they will fit my IPhone. The problem is …

Wow, the founder of WordPress is coming to Hong Kong and speaking at a Luncheon! WordPress is a free state-of-the-art platform used for blogging. It’s actually the foundation of my blog as well.
Currently there are over 13 million registered users world wide and to actually have a chance to meet one of the coolest Silicon Valley stories is a once in a lifetime chance! He’s a typical dot com profile where he is a college drop out and started this online platform by hashing it out in his mother’s kitchen. …

OH BABY!! After a long period of training online, I’ve finally conquered my sister, the GEEK. It’s all good because a little bit of healthy competition now and then doesn’t hurt anyone. You can see my gradual increase in score over time and finally, today (just 2 minutes passed), I surpassed the mighty online nerd. Her post Desktop Tower Defense was useful enough to get me the basics, but something was missing. I will elaborate more here. For starters, yes, it’s about the path you build, but that’s not enough. You …

This is the 4th time that I’ve put my laptop in my suitcase, only to turn it on when I arrived back in Hong Kong to find that the back light had been shot. I can still use it, but I can barely see and need to look at it from an angle with the correct lighting - which is still a good because my data is accessible. The laptop was only 3 years old! I hope to run more mileage out of these things. Anyways, after consulting SONY in …

Yesterday, at a friend’s house, I was introduced to a game called “RockBank” played on XBOX. We actually had the WHOLE band - which consisted of a drummer, 2 guitarists and 1 person on vocals.
Needless to say, everything was played on the XBOX 360 and the equipment was “human size”, which means, you’re physically “playing” the game.
The entire gig takes the following hardware:
1 wireless drum set
2 wireless guitars
1 microphone
Xbox and game
You see, I’m not a rock fan - so many of the songs I didn’t know, but you can still play …

With some time on my hands and the urge to spice up my blog (both functionally and aesthetically), I’ve decided to go outside the Wordpress blog and see what additional yummies I can add to my site.
For those who aren’t bloggers, or rather, those who are, but using blogging sites to do so, I’m currently using a free software called Wordpress. You’ll need to find a web host to host the site for you (or you can create your own if you’re technically adept, have the resources and time) and …
