As I was getting changed this morning, I hear Vanessa screaming “HELP ME MOMMY!” I run out to see this. I was initially shocked and scared because she may potentially be hurt. But then, as I see her wiggling and screaming some more, I figure she was OK had to take this photo. It’s a parent’s duty to capture these priceless moments. Needless to say that Vanessa was sitting in her baby sister’s high chair, without the safety buckles. I figured that the tray would keep her in, but I …

As I was changing Victoria’s diaper this morning, some how as I was taking it off – this fell out. Truth be told, I was in shock for about 3 seconds deciding what to do first – clean her ass or clean the floor. Needless to say, I had to deal with my daughter first and the carpet second. Sorry carpet. Hope you are better now.

We were walking through Taikoo Shing the other day and Vanessa pointed to this nice blue car and said “Ask daddy to buy me that car”. The car is pictured above. So I took a snapshot of it with my phone camera (hence the poor quality) and sent it to her daddy and told him that if he bought it for Vanessa, we’d have to share it. M6. Love the plate.

You almost wonder if she’s doing it on purpose – though it does make for a great photo moment. It’s much easier to enjoy the moment now as compared to it “live” because the clean up was absolutely horrendous.

In Toronto (at Brown’s), Vanessa spied this pair of Blue Thomas The Train Rain boots and HAD to have them. Since my mom was with us and looking to buy shoes for her, she gave in to these regular-priced boots that cost a fortune (probably because of the copy rights) and Vanessa was the immediate happy owner of these boots. They are rather cool. They have 2 handles so that the kids can put them on themselves and they are completely enclosed and made of rubber. These are especially useful …

This is the literal meaning of blanket snow. It’s been snowing consistently the past few weeks and it’s gotten so bad that the snow pile in our front yard is taller than 2x Vanessa. I attribute this to the fact that my parents had their driveway extended to fit 3 cars horizontally and now with the reducing real estate of grass, the shoveling turns into a workout.
Ah well, as I surveyed the damage outside before my workout began, I took a few moments to enjoy the scenery. I must admit, …

What on earth is this? This is what we found swimming in the salt water fish tank at Rainforest Cafe in Yorkdale Mall this morning. It was the most halarious sight I have ever seen involving a Santa. There’s a long yellow tube connecting to the top of the tank feeding this guy air.
And could you believe it – there were ALL these people around the tank (like me) who were either in awe or laughing their heads off. The kids of course, were in awe and couldn’t stop gasping …

Why do children destroy stuff? Is it by nature to build or destroy? Well, it’s probably easier to destroy than create, as creating takes effort, focus, and time. Whereas destroying is simply the chaotic mutilation of whatever.
Look what I found today in Vanessa’s playroom. I was in shock when I walked in and saw the carnage. My initial reaction was to call 911. She even ripped off the legs of “Jennie” – whom she named earlier in the day.
Mommy: Vanessa, why did you break it?
Vanessa: I don’t know (shakes her head)
Mommy: …

TRACY TRACY look what I found!! You wouldn’t believe how much my sister loves Reese Peanut Butter “Stuff”. It’s her ultimate must buy souvenir from Canada and it can come in any shape, size or form. They don’t carry ANY of this product in Hong Kong, so it’s a treat far and beyond. Is 2 boxes enough? Did you also want some cereal? Anyone else have any requests from “home”?
