I’m REALLY REALLY sorry but here’s where I’ve gone (this is going to be a rant for sure…):

• Key thing to note is that I didn’t properly back up my blog since Feb 2010 (and even if I did, the database file is unrecoverable).  AHHHHH – that means I’ve lost all my posts for over 1 year! *pulling out my hair*
• Secondly – my site got “hacked” because of some scripts that I was using and that killed my database (hence the loss of data) AHHHH!!
• Thirdly I was so depressed at my loss, I kind of gave up hope and think of it as a sign that I am trying to do too much
• Furthermore, I was on vacation for 3 weeks, got back and went to work and then got severely sick for 1 week and that brings me to today
• To add to my pain, any database back up that I’ve got (or managed to get even from my hoster) is still a year missing

So now you know why my site looks as messed as it does and why it seems like I’ve last posted in May of 2009!  THAT IS NOT TRUE!! My last post was July 2010, but I have nothing to show for it because it’s all been wiped out!  I am pissed at this javascript insert that caused so many problems and I am pissed that I didn’t do better redudancy/back up planning.  Goes to show that technology works best when you plan and one key to that is back up.  Since this is a hobby site, I’ll try to back it up once a month – but thechinesesouplady.com is something more – how much loss can you take?

WAHHH – anyways… just to let you know, I am ramping down a bit on my personal blogging.  I simply don’t have the time or capacity right now and with both kids in school, the attention to ensure that they finish their homework and I am spending quality time with them overrides all.  Hope you understand and definitely continue to follow me.  One objective is that I will try to replace all my lost posts and them some, but that might be an easy task!  Thanks for your support and stay tuned!
