I finally got an Amazon Kindle! It’s great, it’s amazing, it’s portable, it’s convenient, it’s cheaper than going paper and it’s environmentally friendly. Because I am so passionate about reading and literature, it’s the perfect solution to travel and lack of space in Hong Kong. To be truthful, it’s not very common in Hong Kong - I was riding the MTR today and everyone was staring at my darling kindle - probably wondering what on earth it was I was carrying.
Why should you consider getting one?
- E-books are cheaper than print (especially for US and UK published books in Hong Kong)
- You can “share” books with your friends (on loan)
- You have global wireless (for free)
- It’s portable
- It can hold 1000+ e-books
- Free up your shelves to hold more junk (or more important things)
- It has a 3 week battery life without wireless
- It’s thin and convenient to carry
- Far easier to read than a book - you’re pressing a button rather than flipping pages
- It can even “read” to you (through headsets for privacy)
- Simple to use interface keeps it simple
Need I say more? GET ONE!!!! Seriously, I love it! I just need to buy a cool case to protect it. All for a smacking price of:

That’s great. I’m thinking to get one since last year. You made me feel like clicking yes on the net straight away. ;P
