You Have Big Shoes to Fill!
Why do children love to wear their parents’ shoes? Vanessa almost takes pride and joy in trying on our shoes and now Victoria is getting into this habit. It doesn’t happen often because the shoes are usually hidden in our shoe cabinet, but on those days where they haven’t been put away yet, the children make a beeline to the shoes and put them on. This is with everyone’s shoes, no matter the size. Even each other’s shoes or just the cardboard box. If they can put it on their feet and “walk” in them - they will. I guess this is part of growing up. It’s the experimental and inquisitive that make them learn and I welcome this. Although my shoes can become a hazard in itself because it appears that Vanessa loves to go after my heels and none of them are less than 2 inches. See, my children really do have big shoes to fill (in every sense). Yes, I am a dictator mommy.

It’s because she wants to be just like you! She sees you wearing your high heels and she wants to too!! A mini-Lisa in the making.
Hehe, Natalie LOVES to put on our shoes, too! And she totally knows who’s shoe she is wearing, like she’ll say, “Nat-lee wear mommy’s shoes!” It is a strange quirk they have, isn’t it
