Crocs for Toddlers

What’s with this Crocs fad still alive and particularly more popular in the summer?  At the park these past few days, literally all the children (if not some adults, including myself) are all donning crocs.  It’s incredible how far and wide spread these not-so-good-looking shoes have gone.  I say not-so-good-looking because quite honestly, for me to wear a one-piece shoe (made of some rubber-plastic-new-technology hybrid), is probably not my first choice.  But I will admit that they are mighty comfortable and because of their abundance in holes, an airy shoes that eliminates odors and sweat.

So we fell prey to the functionality and practicality of the shoes and our children are virtually swimming in crocs.  Vanessa alone has 4 pairs and now her sister has finally grown into a pair herself (see pictured above).  The convenience of these shoes is that they can get wet, dirty and whatever else children become while at play and are easy to slip in-out of for your children to do it themselves.

The smallest size is a 4 in Hong Kong (in croc talk), which means about 1 years in age.  Victoria is now wearing a 4/5 fabulous baby blue with pink handles “Stitch” figurine croc for toddlers.  She rather likes them and although she is still learning to walk, they seem to fit her needs relatively well.  They come in a variety of colours and designs and the kicker is that once your kids are old enough to “reason with you for shopping needs”, the add-ons, particularly the little inserts (called jibbitz - damn great idea btw) for the holes are money suckers to say the least.

I shall, however, stick to my favoured flip flops and high heels.  One pair of crocs is enough for me.
