I’m Finally on Twitter
What’s with the hype and Twitter? I know – a blogger who is not on twitter? How can that be? Well, it was. Except this weekend, my curiosity got the better of me and quite honestly, I think I needed to experience it myself to really understand the craze.
The statistical breakdown:
- 35 recognized addresses imported from Gmail
- 8 selected twitters to follow at setup (sorry about the other 27 but I’m using a radius of influence here)
- 1 photo uploaded
- 0 success in finding some people I wanted to follow (does anyone know Matt Mullenweg’s twitter account? I even wanted to find P Diddy and failed – call me a noob)
So I guess the gyst of twitter is really to say something to the twitter community? Now I’m debating about whether to link it to my blog or not and how twitter helps me stay in touch – or rather, more work for me to keep in touch? I think I will need to give it more time to sink in and see where it takes me. As with Facebook – that social network has really hit the grave for me. I get so many random crap feeds that it simply is not worth my time to check in on it – so sorry to those who do send me messages in Facebook because my response rate is horrendous.
My twitter name is lii9. I’m sorry, I ran out of originality and tried to go with something simple. Anyways – let’s all get twittering.
