For Lack of More Time?
I have been chasing a series. A fascinating series on vampires and werewolves and I can’t stop. It’s the vampire series called “The Twilight Saga” written by Stephenie Meyer. The books are titled “Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn”.
The problem right now is that I read faster than I am able to get my hands on the books. My friend Tina lent me the first two and you can imagine her surprise three days later that I’ve almost finished the second book with book three and four at her house. So naturally, I head to the bookstore. Out of luck and out-of-stock. I call “Page One” and “Hong Kong Book Centre” to find that they are all out-of-stock of books 2, 3 and 4. Completely. Nothing in Hong Kong. My options are to run over to my friend’s place (which is not too far away, but not on the way to anywhere since they live on the tip East of HK Island), order it from amazon on express delivery (at least 1-2 weeks), get my mom to buy it from Toronto and take it with her on her flight to down under passing through HK (1 week), or order it from the local book stores (2-3 weeks).
The suspense is killing me, although I’ve already pumped Tina for most of the information I am looking for. However, not being able to get my hands on it really is frustrating the hell out of me. I am a fast reader and I don’t like waiting, but it looks like I’ll have to do something else in the mean while (like practice my french). Dangnabit.

did you try Paddyfield.com? usually cheaper than the bookstores and they deliver in 10-14 days in HK. for orders of over $180HKD there’s no delivery charge either!
YOU ROCK!!!! I’m already on the site!! They are cheaper!! Going to give them a call tomorrow about availability!! YOU ROCK ROCK ROCK ROCK CLARK!! THANKS!!!!
Haha, nice! Btw, I’m intrigued… can I borrow them from you after you’re done?
It’s unstoppable. You’re so dead. You don’t know what you are requesting for.
Really that good? This is not the first time I hear positive comments on these series! OK, I should get started w/ my Twilight, I’m such a s - l - o - w reader post-life w/ kids.
You try the commerical bookstore (whatever their name is in English) in Kornhill, I remember seeing copies of Breaking Dawn there.
GEEZ, thanks everyone for the incoming support of lending me or finding me the books!! It rocks to have so much available resources!
mmm didn’t I mention these in Toronto? It’s what the movie was about. However, I was disappointed by Book 4. I’m not giving it away but I don’t like how she ended it all. It’s too neat, with a pretty little bow. And slightly disturbing too…
anyways - now you have to watch the DVD Li - the guy who plays Edward is pretty cool in it - Cedric from Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire. The girl is kinda blah though - very ordinary…haha yes I thought of more, that’s why my comments are continuing.
Awww disappointed? Hmm, not sure how that would put the storyline. Almost there, halfway through it and it’s pretty weird….
