Amateur Writing
So you want to be a writer? Well, you don’t necessarily have to write a novel to launch your writing career. In fact, there are so many avenues for creative writing that they are limitless.
For starters, Reader’s Digest Asia will take jokes, anecdotes or stories and if they publish it, they pay you! Even better, a paid writing job!
To submit your writing, go to:
For jokes, it can something that your kids say, somethings that are in passing as comments or even a new joke. RDAsia pays $100 USD for anecdotes and jokes published. Submit yours at: http://rdasia.com/jokes
For Stories, they must be personal stories that are unpublished and original and less than 1000 words. RDAsia pays $500 USD for a published article. Submit yours at: http://rdasia.com/submit
For Comments: http://rdasia.com/comments
Another avenue to submit publishing work, is to submit your work to large blogs. A few that I can think of are:
Freelancefolder at http://freelancefolder.com/write-for-us/
Lifehack.org at http://www.lifehack.org/about/contribute (which one of 50′s most popular blogs on the web)
There are so many blogs and websites that will take freelance writing – especially if your content is of value and will pull in readership. So why not take these little steps to writing instead of one big step (like a novel). I’ve already submitted some stuff in and around the web and hopefully, I’ll get published soon
Yes, I am still working on my novel, but like I said, I need to take a billion little steps to get there – but I will get there soon.
