The Importance of Charity

13 January 2009 741 views One Comment

Charity is a very important lesson to teach children.  We may not be rich or swimming in money, but it is always important to give back to the community and others who are less fortunate by ways of donations, volunteering and even helping out where you can, when you can.  The best way to teach your children this lesson is to set the best example you can.  I will ALWAYS donate to flag days in Hong Kong - which happens every Saturday and Wednesday mornings.  You can donate $1 or $2 and help charities that need it.  You can also make efforts to clean out your closets and their old clothes and toys and donate it to organizations that will properly utilize it.  And then, there’s the effort of donating Gong Gong’s (her grandfather’s) teeth to her younger sister Victoria, which is a great step forward already.

LOL, that’s hilarious! How generous Vanessa is to offer Gong gong’s teeth to her younger sister so Victoria can enjoy the same things she likes herself. :D
